Meet Your Trainer & Nutritionist
I work with clients across the U.S., Scandinavia, and beyond—online and in person. My focus is simple: helping people build stronger bodies so they can perform at their best, inside and outside the gym.
I’m Andra, a certified personal trainer and nutritionist with 17+ years of hands-on experience. Alongside coaching, I provide digital marketing services for health, fitness, and wellness brands. To date, I’ve authored over 2,000 expert articles for leading publications like Stack, Livestrong, Health Digest, Grow Therapy, and The List.
What sets me apart isn’t the certifications or the bylines, but the experience behind them. I’ve spent years navigating pain, injuries, and the challenges of maintaining strength and mobility while balancing a busy professional life.
The truth is, not everyone wants a six-pack or a bigger booty—these are just fads and don’t reflect true health or performance.
My goal is to help you build a strong, lean body and improve or maintain your fitness through nutrition and workouts tailored to your needs, whether that means:
- Balancing a demanding schedule
- Juggling multiple commitments
- Training around chronic pain
A few years ago, I couldn’t even dream of returning to my previous fitness, hitting the gym four or five times per week, traveling all over the world, and going horseback riding in my free time. My back constantly hurt and sometimes locked up, my knees had multiple injuries, and my joints were sore.
I’m not completely pain-free, but I can do so many things that once felt impossible. You can, too, with the right guidance and a little confidence.
Why Work with Me
Inspired by Scandinavian culture, my nutrition and training philosophy is rooted in simplicity. I cut through fads and gimmicks to focus on what works—and that’s exactly why clients choose me.
Smart, science-based approach
I understand biomechanics, pain management, and sustainable strength, not just textbook exercises.
Empathy through experience
I know what it’s like to live with pain—and how to work your way around it. I understand the fear of pushing too hard, the frustration of setbacks, and the need for a preventive approach that minimizes injury risk.
The functional middle ground
Most workout plans cater either to beginners or athletes. I specialize in the space between: people who want to train seriously but have specific limitations or feel intimidated, unsure, or not at their physical peak. I can help you choose movements that match your current capacity and comfort so you can progress without second-guessing every rep.
High-achiever coaching
I understand the demands of high-achieving professionals because I am one myself. I create diet and training plans that fit your career and lifestyle, not the other way around.
Adjust on the fly
Our bodies don’t behave the same every day. If your knee feels tight or your back hurts, I can modify your training in seconds.
Work with your body, not against it
Many popular exercises can lead to injuries or worsen existing ones. I’ll help you choose safer variations, smarter progressions, and joint-friendly alternatives.
Lasting performance, not just aesthetics
My approach blends aesthetic and functional training into one cohesive system. You don’t need a six-pack to feel strong. But if you want one? We’ll build it without destroying your joints in the process.
Develop self-reliance
I’ll teach you skills you can use for life. Most programs keep you hooked forever. Mine teaches you how to train, adjust, and nourish your body without relying on others.
Practical nutrition strategies
I focus on simple, no-fuss meals and quick, healthy recipes that fit even the most demanding schedules.
My approach revolves around one idea: you deserve results, but not at the cost of your joints, your energy, or your sanity.
Train smarter, eat better, and move confidently without sacrificing your lifestyle or aggravating old injuries. Book a session today or get in touch to discuss your goals.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Yes, I'm a certified personal trainer (PT) and nutritionist. I earned my certification as a fitness instructor and personal trainer in 2013, and that same year I became certified as a nutrition technician. Still, my journey in fitness and nutrition began long before I earned these credentials.
The guidance I provide is evidence-based and shaped by my own experience. I’ve dealt with chronic back pain, knee injuries, arthritis, IBS, gallbladder issues, and other conditions that can make staying active and eating well feel overwhelming.
Those experiences are a big part of why I chose this career—I wanted to help others build healthier habits so they can better navigate the challenges they’re facing.
I work with anyone who needs my help. I don’t specialize in training professional athletes, but I work with most people—from complete beginners to those with a strong fitness base and solid nutrition knowledge who want to keep progressing.
I combine strength and functional training with a strong emphasis on injury prevention. I tailor each workout plan to the client’s needs, so no two programs look the same.
I'm not a fan of restrictive diets, as they’re rarely sustainable and often create unnecessary frustration. Instead, I can create a diet plan for weight loss, hypertrophy, or better overall health that that aligns with your schedule and preferences.
My approach prioritizes sustainable, long‑term results, whether your goal is fat loss, hypertrophy, or targeted improvements. You can get leaner or build muscle fast, but the strategies needed to do that are not sustainable and can harm your health.
Training and weight‑loss plateaus are normal. Our bodies are incredibly good at adapting to our eating habits and workouts, which can slow progress over time. When that happens, I’ll make targeted adjustments to your nutrition and training plan, monitor the changes, and fine‑tune as we go.
I actually do both. With Nutrition Reset, you’ll get direct feedback on your daily menu—just log your meals or send photos, and I’ll review your choices and suggest improvements based on your health or fitness goals.
If you choose a personalized diet (Nutrition Reset+ or Training Blueprint+), you'll receive custom meals and gain a deeper understanding of macros, carb cycling, meal planning, and other essential nutrition principles.
I take these factors into account when creating a diet or workout plan. Someone with a demanding job, tight schedule, or poor sleep can’t sustain the same level of physical activity as someone with a more flexible routine. They also require a nutrition plan that supports stress resilience, hormonal balance, and optimal recovery.
