Vegan Parmesan Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds or ground almonds (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients in a food processor.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three months.*

Notes

*If you add lemon zest (½ teaspoon), store the vegan parmesan in the fridge for up to five days, then freeze any leftovers. The texture stays crumbly, the flavor holds up, and it thaws quickly because it’s a dry seasoning. Just make sure you freeze it in an airtight container.
